Revit Server demo
Download the configuration file, install it, and connect from your own Revit. Takes about five minutes.
How to connect
- 01
Download the configuration file
We'll hand it over here with your name and email. It's a small file that tells Revit where the server is.
- 02
Copy it to your computer
Unzip it and paste RSN.ini into this folder, replacing XXXX with your Revit version. Repeat for each version installed.
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit Server XXXX\Config - 03
Open it from Revit
In Revit, go to Open and select Revit Server Network. You'll see the demo server and can create your local copy.
Administration panel
Revit Server Administrator lets you browse the server's folders and each model's version history from the browser.
Your browser will flag this address as “not secure”. That's expected: Autodesk's Revit Server Administrator doesn't support HTTPS, and this is how it's accessed in any installation. This demo holds no real data.
Open the demo panelBefore you start
- The demo server is public: anyone with the file can see what you upload. Don't upload real project or client information.
- We wipe the demo contents periodically. Nothing you upload is kept.
- This is a test environment, not the production service. It has no backups, no monitoring, and no availability guarantee.
